Moooooooooooovin' Right Along!

Yesterday and today have seen some incredible movement on the house. We have a roof and all of the first floor plumbing is in.The basement, garage and porch are poured. Last night Randy and I took pizza, drinks and chairs to the house and had our first dinner there! It was crazy fun! OK, maybe we are the crazy in all of that, but it was still fun! In talking with Ben, we should see all of the electric and cable/security wiring in by the end of the week. Then we will have our pre-drywall meeting. Anticipated closing is between June 10-20. It doesn't seem possible. Boy, I'd better get packing!

Now this is the LIFE! Well . . . it will be when I have bubbles, candles and wine!

The first part of the basement floor poured. The cement guys said they have two more layers to put down.

If you can't read it, this says: "Do not hang walls so low! It makes us have impure thoughts. Sincerely,  Concrete Guys." I just don't want to know.

The finished garage floor. It took them about 30 minutes to pour the cement and level it all off. Amazing!

Change is GOOD!

All the walls are up. The sheathing is on the roof and we will have shingles sometime tomorrow! When we went into the house tonight all of the support beams were gone and we had a really good idea of what the house will look like when it's completed . . . and I LOVE it! I can already see us entertaining and enjoying the new space. I'm excited! They put the fireplace insert in today and should have the basement floor and garage floor in by the weekend. Our project manager has assured me that all is on schedule and he is keeping track of everything that's going on. That is good because neither of us can be on the job site during the day. Enjoy the day's pictures!

Welcome to our home!

The fireplace is in place.

The structure in the middle is where the sink will be and there will be a gourmet island there as well.

The master bedroom is GINORMOUS!

And the build goes on . . . .

Went out to the house this evening. From the outside, it doesn't look too different than it did yesterday. However, they did do some work inside. They have laid all of the pipe work in the basement and I am looking forward to when they will pour the basement floor. They did do some more work on the roof line. The peaks the will be over the morning room and master bedroom are almost finished. It is amazing how detailed everything is.

This is the space for the fireplace.

All of our building specs are posted so the builders know exactly what goes where.

A note for the plumbers to make the shower  spigots high enough for Randy to fit under.

Randy is sitting on the 'couch' with his 'remote' . Pretty forward thinking wouldn't you say?
