More movement toward move-in!

The past couple of days have seen some movement in the finish work of the house. We now have flooring in and the stonework is completed on the front. The tile in the master bath looks A M A Z I N G!

Ceiling Texture is Up!

Things are coming along so well. We have the texture on the ceilings and the stone worker had a good bit of the stonework done. Also they've delivered the cabinets, interior doors and molding. tomorrow they are supposed to prime everything.

Stonework going up!

Today we saw the drywall guy finish taping and mudding the whole house. What a huge difference a day makes. When we got to the house tonight, the guy was there to start installing the stonework. It looks soooooooo great! I think that tomorrow will see the ceiling texture go on and then, on Friday, the painters come to prime the walls.

The stonework guy said I would break the camera if I took his picture . . . but he lied!! Still snapping away!

Drywall is being finished!

It seems like the process has slowed waaaaaaaaay down, but the finish work takes time. We were able to see the drywall guy putting up some of the tape and I am amazed at how easy he made this process work. If it were me doing that I shudder to think what it would look like! Glad we're leaving all of this to the pros. Randy talked to the drywall finish guy and he said he would be finished by Wednesday and the painters should be in on Friday to put on the primer. The stone for the front of the house was delivered today so we should see some progress in the exterior finish in the next couple of days. Sooooooooo exciting!

Siding On!

Today saw some movement on the outside of the house. Our siding has been installed and looks F A B U L O U S! The stonework still needs to be put on the front and the gutters need to go up, but everything is moving along much quicker than I thought. The drywall crew was back at work today and have started taping and mudding seams. It is just amazing how fast all of this is happening. We'll be home before you know it!

We Have Walls. . . Interior Ones!

Monday evening we met with Ben for our pre-drywall meeting. We walked though the house and reviewed everything that had been done to date. Ben said that he would order the drywall on Wednesday but . . . surprise! The drywall was delivered Tuesday afternoon and they installed the WHOLE house on Wednesday! Enjoy the transformation from insulation only to actual walls!
